The Sultan of Sokoto, Alhaji Muhammad Sa'ad Abubakar III, on Sunday said the National Youth Service Corps ( NYSC) has remained an indispensable unifying factor in Nigeria.
The monarch made the remark when he hosted the representatives of the 2015 Batch,'' B'' Corps members who are currently undergoing their orientation exercise to a lunch in Sokoto.
He noted that the scheme had remained crucial and a veritable tool to the socio-economic development of Nigeria.
According to him, the NYSC scheme has indeed become a household name and a necessity across the nation.
The monarch expressed his readiness to sustain his moral and financial commitment to the scheme, to enable it succeed at all levels.
